Pete is an art teacher and Monica is a stay at home mom.  I feel safe having them close by in case I need them.  We share the expenses for the driveway and are mindful of our use of the driveway.  The kids know they are not allowed to play in my yard unless I invite them.  Pete and Monica are great neighbors.

Any great schools or other things to mention? *
Its a great place to raise kids, the school system is rated highly, lots of kid and adult programs. Summer program for kids.  Low crime rate.  It’s safe to walk the streets at night.

Anything else you can think of to attract a potential buyer? *
We have a Target and Walmart.  Big Sky Gym where I go, LA Fitness, Planet Fitness.  A really great World of Nutrition health food store in the Center.  Lots of doctor’s offices.  Post Office, UPS Store, Verizon, Munson’s Chocolates store, 6 banks, 3 fire stations, Newington Ambulance, shoe repair shop, Spa

“The main thing I love about my home is its close proximity, literally one minute, to north and south bound I-91.  Then five minutes from the I-91 and I-84 interchange in Hartford.

When I worked in Hartford my commute (barring heavy traffic and bad weather) was 7 minutes.  I even know the back roads in case the traffic was too much.  15 minutes away is Westfarms Mall in W Hartford/Farmington westbound and all the shops in Manchester/South Windsor eastbound.

1-1/2 hrs to Boston, 2-1/2 hrs to NYC, 5 hrs or so to the Canadian border and everywhere in between including Vermont, New Hampshire, NY State, Rhode Island and Maine.  Not to mention everywhere in Connecticut within a couple of hours.  The CT shoreline is 45 minutes away and we travel it frequently during the summer months.

My husband loves the bright sunlight in our home.  The beautiful sun just beams through in the morning from the east and then through our picture window in the afternoon from the west.  We see some lovely sunsets.

I love that we have two full bathrooms within steps from our bed (a large king bed).  My husband has a bathroom and I have a bathroom!!  (Remodeled bathrooms that are real nice).  Some husbands have a “man cave;” my husband has a “man shower.”   🙂   He could have a “man cave” downstairs but he prefers his “man shower.”

We have trees in the front yard that in spring, summer and parts of fall, give us privacy.  We have good neighbors but we have our privacy.  We have a large lot which has kept us fit over the years.  Repaved driveway that easily fits four cars not to mention our two-car garage.

Our kitchen was also remodeled.  I love the feel of the beautiful quartz countertops.  All the company loves my floors, looks like a Tuscan pattern.  My husband picked out the hardware and he did a great job, I must admit.

The hardwood floors are pretty, just plain pretty.  I started to plant red rosebushes last year.  Waiting to see if they will flower well again this year.

If it were not for a job change out-of-state we would never have left this home.”
